Rounded vs. Circle Crops

A "fully round" radius on equal-width-and-height images produces a perfect circle. On wide or tall images the same setting creates a pill shape — the sides follow the longest edge while the radius is capped at half of the shortest edge, which is exactly how CSS border-radius: 50% behaves.

How It Works
